1: Sale Confirmation and Review

Once a buyer decides to buy your registration plate, we’ll contact you to let you know. If you’re happy with the offered price, we’ll then review the Terms and Conditions with you to ensure you’re happy with the agreement.

2: Securing the Payment

If you’re happy to continue with the sale, we’ll ask the buyer to complete payment. Our service accepts a range of payment methods, including card payments and Klarna where available.

However the buyer chooses to pay, you’ll receive the agreed sale amount once the transaction and registration transfer have been completed.

3: Ownership Verification

Once the buyer’s payment is secured, we’ll ask you to provide proof that you own or have the rights to the registration and are entitled to sell it. You’ll have up to seven days to submit this information, and depending on how the registration is currently held, the relevant documentation may include:

• V5C Vehicle Registration Certificate
• V778 Certificate of Retention
• V750 Certificate of Entitlement

4: Documentation Checks

Once we receive and verify your registration documentation, a specialist will check that everything is in order.

Where original documentation is required, we’ll hold it securely while the buyer’s details are also checked and the registration is prepared for transfer.

5: Registering the Transfer

Our service includes managing the DVLA transfer, which simplifies everything for both you and the buyer.

6: Issuing Your Payment

Seller payments are made by bank transfer within 7 working days of the registration being assigned to the purchaser’s vehicle.
